How does a Prepaid Card Work?

A prepaid card is an alternative banking product that only lets you spend the money you load onto the card. Unlike traditional debit cards, however, you don't need a bank account to use a prepaid card.

What is BankIT prepaid card all about?

BankIT prepaid card is a reloadable prepaid card which means you can spend up to the value placed on the card. It can be used anywhere where Rupay cards are accepted. Each time you make a purchase, the amount of that purchase is automatically deducted from the card.

How do I know the balance on my Prepaid card?

You can check your balance through our cardholder BankIT Pay app, through SMS, or by calling customer support number.

Where can my Prepaid Card be used?

Your card can be used to make online and store purchases at any of Rupay debit locations and to obtain cash at the ATM.

How can I load/reload funds in my card?

A cardholder can load and reload the funds in his card through the BankIT cardholder app which accept all payment gateways such as debit card, credit card, net banking , UPIs.

In case of corporate card , loading and reloading is as per the organization instructions. It is not possible for corporate cardholders to request a reload.

What is the validity period of my Card?

Your Prepaid card is valid for 3 years. The same is available on the front view of your card.

Can I use my Prepaid card in foreign countries?

No, BankIT prepaid card can be used in India only.

Can I withdraw cash from my Prepaid Card?

Yes, ATM withdrawal is available, but applicable charges will be levied.

Is there a load amount limit?

Yes, Card balance cannot be more than ₹ 200000/- at any given point of time for full KYC customers.

Can the Prepaid card PIN be changed?

Yes, you are allowed to change your Prepaid card PIN in the Cardholder App or call the Customer Care number for re-issuance of the PIN.

Whom should I contact if my card is lost or stolen?

In case your card is lost or stolen, immediately call the Phone Banking number mentioned on the backside of your card and report the loss of your card.
